Artist's Statement

Throughout the process of art making, I always try to entwine sensuality and spirituality as interchangeable elements. I believe that when we experience our body’s sensual and sexual side, we are able to evoke a sense of divinity, or a higher form of being. Whether I create landscapes, abstracts or figurative work, the images in my art often curve and flow like the shapes you see in nature. Nature’s shapes are organic and as our culture attaches feminine values to such shapes, I attach femininity and sensuality to my art work. I would like everyone to become a patron of the senses and feel closer to his or her spiritual side. Avoid dull nudes that monsterize and ignore our sensuality. Don’t look at landscapes or abstracts that are mere structural formations. Gaze at beautiful objects in art that evoke a sense of pleasure and wonder. I invite people to become patrons of the erotic.
